The purpose of the study was to determine the optimal administration protocols for initiating an over-arm throwing accuracy assessment for assessing optimum approach start among standing start, 1.5-meter start, and 3-meter start towards the ball from the 30-yard circle. For this purpose 30 male state cricketers of BCCI age ranged between 18 to 28 years were selected as subjects for the present study. Further, Descriptive research design was employed to identify the optimal start approach for evaluating over arm throwing accuracy from various fielding positions within the 30-yard circle. Furthermore, purposive sampling was applied for the selection of the subjects. Moreover, the data was recorded as successful and unsuccessful hits by participants from these diverse fielding positions within the 30-yard circle and analysed by descriptive statistics to evaluate the effect of the initial approach start, as measured by the accuracy of over arm throws from various fielding positions within the 30-yard circle. Additionally, findings of the study suggested that the 3-meter start, or an approach toward the ball from each test item was founded suitable for the final administration of the test.
