This study examines gender differences in sports aggression among male and female boxers using Makarowski’s Sports Aggression Questionnaire, which measures three dimensions: Go Ahead, Foul Play, and Assertiveness. A sample of 90 state-level boxers (45 males, 45 females) aged 18-28 years participated. Results revealed no significant gender differences in Go Ahead (t = -0.49, p = 0.624) or Assertiveness (t = -1.26, p = 0.211). However, males scored significantly higher in Foul Play (t = -2.07, p = 0.041), indicating greater tendencies toward unsportsmanlike conduct. Findings suggest that while proactive and assertive aggression are similar across genders, male boxers exhibit more rule-breaking behaviors. The study highlights the need for gender-specific aggression management strategies in boxing training programs.
