The integration of science and technology into sports has transformed the landscape of athletic performance, training methodologies, injury prevention, and audience engagement. This article explores how advancements in fields such as biomechanics, sports physiology, data analytics, material science, and artificial intelligence have revolutionized both elite and recreational sports. Wearable technologies, motion tracking systems, and smart equipment now provide real-time feedback that enables athletes and coaches to optimize performance and reduce the risk of injury. Similarly, innovations in medical imaging and rehabilitation tools have significantly improved recovery outcomes. Officiating has become more accurate through technologies like Hawk-Eye and Video Assistant Referee (VAR), while fans experience deeper involvement through augmented reality, virtual simulations, and interactive platforms. Despite these benefits, the adoption of science and technology in sports also raises challenges concerning ethics, data privacy, and equitable access. This paper aims to critically examine the contributions, implications, and future directions of scientific and technological advancement in the world of sports.
