This paper examines the National Basketball Association's (NBA) transformation from a domestic sports league into a global entrepreneurial powerhouse. It investigates how strategic initiatives in revenue diversification, technology adoption, and international expansion have driven economic growth and cultural influence. Analyzing secondary data from 2001 to 2024 from sources like Deloitte, Forbes, and the NBA, the study employs a mixed-methods approach to assess the economic impact of the NBA's entrepreneurial activities. The analysis reveals a 300% revenue increase over two decades, attributable to diversified revenue streams, including media rights, merchandising, sponsorships, and digital subscriptions. Individual franchise valuations have surged, driven by innovation in real estate, media ownership, and community engagement. The NBA's global presence, with significant market engagement in China, Europe, and Africa, has fueled economic development through job creation, tourism, and infrastructure investments. Recommendations are offered for sports organizations, policymakers, and researchers, emphasizing sustainable practices, ethical considerations, and continued innovation. The NBA's model provides insights for leveraging sports for broader economic and social development.
